09/04 - Saving Time With Training Via the Internet

Posted by: kelley foust on 9/4/2009

More and more people are being required to take continuing education courses to keep up on certifications or to keep up with the competition.  One of the downsides from the employees standpoint is the additional time required to attend the training class, session or seminar.

From the employers point of view there are costs associated with offering the training and there is also a need to track and report on who has attended what training.  Offering training to users via the internet can solve some of these issues.

Employers can proof the content prior to delivery.  The content delivered is consistent.  There is no need for a facility.  Training can be monitored, tracked and reported much easier.  The employees can take the courses at their convience and can pause and re-watch any e-learning content at will.  Quizzes can be given to ensure that the content is being absorbed and to keep the audience engaged.

All in all... online learning can solve issues for everyone.
